Documentary on Emancipation

I’m happy to share this documentary on Emancipation, my recent interactive multimedia installation as 2017 Artist in Residence in the College of Arts, Culture and Humanities at Stony Brook University in New York. I hope you’ll watch this video and consider the issues associated with my creation. Look for appearances in the documentary by Dr. Maryam Ekhtiar (Associate Curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art), Roya Khadjavi (Founder and Curator of RK Art & Design LLC and Co-President of Art in General), and Dr. Peter Khost (Professor at Stony Brook University).

4-person group exhibition at Gallery North in Setauket

I am happy to announce that up to nine paintings from my Revelation and Transcendence series will be included in a 4-person group exhibition, In The Abstract, at Gallery North in Setauket, New York. (Here is the gallery address: 90 North Country Road, Setauket, NY 11733. )
The reception for this exhibition, In the Abstract, is Friday July 29th from 5-7pm, and the show will run through Aug. 26th.

My Painted Piano for Sing For Hope (2016)

My painted piano for Sing For Hope- with my wonderful friends and family @ today’s launch event in 28 Liberty Street. Feeling blessed to be among 50 artists from across US and Canada to paint pianos for Sing For Hope (2016). Painted pianos will be displayed outdoors around the 5 boroughs of NYC for 10 days in June and then donated to community centers and schools.
